On Saturday, June 19, 2021, the fifth annual Avery’s Harbor Fest benefitting St. Michael Special School will be held at the Harbor Bar and Grill in Metairie. Gary Saucier, an owner of the Harbor Bar and Grill, wanted to start an event in memory of his granddaughter, Avery, to benefit students with developmental and intellectual disabilities. With help from employees, friends, and family, Harbor Fest was born.
Great food, music, basket raffles, and silent and live auctions will highlight Harbor Fest. On Saturday, guests will hear live performances from Nouveau Trio from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and Rick Mocklin and the Southern Voice Band from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Kids will enjoy a hula hoop contest with Dr. Disco at 3:30 pm and a water balloon toss at 4:15 pm. Don’t miss the annual hamburger-eating contest at 3:45 pm. The live auction will begin at 4:45 pm.
